The BISC Initiative is built on the strength of schools and camps that believe in the same mission – students helping students, communities supporting communities.
Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall (CH-CH) is a private, college preparatory day and boarding school for grades 8–12 and PG in Waltham, Massachusetts. CH-CH's close-knit community of roughly 178 students, served by a 5:1 student-to-teacher ratio, creates exactly the kind of environment where student-led initiatives like the BISC Initiative thrive.
CH-CH's culture of empathy, service, and student agency made it the natural home for the BISC Initiative's founding branch, helping our students turn an idea into a fully functioning initiative with four campaigns and $5,250+ raised.
CH-CH is home to the Boston Heroes Club – the BISC Initiative's founding branch. Our students have raised over $5,250, run four campaigns, and built a seven-person Leadership Committee supported by 40+ active volunteers.
Running Brook Camps is a Waltham-based camp program for ages 3.5–16, operated by Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall School. Its connection to CH-CH made it a natural early partner for the BISC Initiative.
When we needed somewhere to store the sanitation supplies collected during our February 2026 drive, Runningbrook didn't hesitate – going above and beyond what any formal partnership would require.
In February 2026, Runningbrook partnered with the BISC Initiative to host a sanitation supply drive. Supplies will be distributed alongside Youth Villages' Backpack Heroes campaign this summer.
Whether you're a school, camp, or community organization, we'd love to explore what a partnership could look like.
