Youth Villages is a leading national nonprofit organization dedicated to helping youth and families navigate challenges surrounding the foster care system. Their New England operations serve families across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, and Rhode Island. Every year, the BISC Initiative proudly channels its fundraising efforts exclusively through Youth Villages.

Two ways your gift helps

Backpack Heroes
Annual Summer Campaign

Backpack Heroes

Backpack Heroes provides backpacks, school supplies, and other essentials to students from pre-K through higher education. In 2025, the campaign provided over 1,300 youth across New England with brand-new backpacks filled with supplies.

BISC Connection

Our annual winter and spring fundraisers and the Runningbrook sanitation drive all feed directly into Backpack Heroes. When you donate, you're putting a backpack in a child's hands by September.

Holiday Heroes
Annual Winter Campaign

Holiday Heroes

Holiday Heroes fulfills holiday wish lists for youth whose families may struggle to provide gifts. In 2025, Holiday Heroes had its highest need to date – 813 youth with wish lists – and the New England community delivered.

Our upcoming fall campaign at CH-CH is dedicated exclusively to Holiday Heroes – launching this school year for the first time.
